LG has unveiled two new X-series smartphones, the X5 and X Skin, in South Korea. The company has also unveiled the X Power smartphone in its home turf which was last month announced globally.
The LG X5 has been priced at SKW 200,000 (approximately Rs. 11,700) and will be available in White and Black colours. The LG X Skin has been priced at SKW 231,000 (approximately Rs. 13,500) and will be available in Gold and Titanium colours. Unfortunately, the company has not revealed availability plans for the LG X5 and X Skin smartphones outside Korea as of now.
Both the X5 and X Skin smartphones come with similar innards: they are powered by 1.3GHz quad-core processors, bear 16GB inbuilt storage, and can be expanded via microSD card (up to 32GB). The handsets run Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box and support dual-SIM. Both the smartphones sport 5-megapixel front-facing camera and come with connectivity options such as 4G LTE, GPRS/ EDGE, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, and Micro-USB.
There are few differences as well. The LG X5 features a 5.5-inch (720×1280 pixels) HD IPS display and comes with 2GB of RAM. It sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and is backed by a 2800mAh battery. It measures 151.6×76.9×7.2mm and weighs 133 grams.
The LG X Skin, on the other hand, features a 5-inch (720×1280 pixels) HD IPS display and packs 1.5GB of RAM. It sports an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and is backed by a 2100mAh battery. It measures 144.8×71.4×6.9mm and weighs 122 grams.
To recall, LG last month unveiled the LG X Max, LG X Mach, LG X Power, and LG X Style smartphones globally, expanding its X series.
