A young fitness fanatic who loved bodybuilding competitions has revealed how cancer has ravaged her physique in candid ‘before and after’ photos.
Cheyann Clark, who is just 23, was diagnosed with an aggressive form of ovarian cancer on August 3 of this year.
She had previously been an avid bodybuilder and weightlifter who had gone on to compete in national bikini body competitions in the USA, where she lives.
On the day she was diagnosed, Cheyann bravely posted an inspiring message on her Instagram account: “Today, August 3rd,2016 is the day that has changed my life for the moment.

“I found out today that I have been diagnosed with cancer. At this time we are unsure what kind of cancer we are dealing with, but should know shortly.
“Once we figure it out, that is when I will start chemo and get the cancer removed surgically once it gets smaller.
“I never in a million years thought this would happen to me, especially since I am only 23, but I know I will win this battle.
“I truly believe that God sent me to the ER so we could catch this early. God works in mysteries (sic) ways and I know he will be my strength while myself, my fiancé, my family, and my friends go through this.

“I would be lying if I told you I wasn’t scared, because I’m scared sh**less.
“I will not let cancer win tho (sic). My spirit is not going to dim and I am going to live my life and fight this battle. ”
“Now it’s my time to fight, fight for my life, and let me tell you; cancer has f***ed with the wrong person.”
Due to her illness, Cheyann’s weight has dropped dramatically.
In side-by-side ‘before and after’ photos, she revealed how cancer has ravaged her previously toned body.
She has also been left with a colostomy bag after doctors removed part of her colon, according to the Daily Mail Online .
Cheyann explained how her medical staff believe her cancer was developing while she competed in her first fitness show.
But she’s staying positive. She was thankful that her hair hadn’t all fallen out before her wedding day – and then immediately shaved her head as it was falling out in clumps and was itchy.
Her journey is long, but she’s on the road to recovery.
Just seven weeks ago, Cheyann posted a selfie posing in the mirror after a traniing sessin, along with the caption: “Felt good to hit some legs today.
“Starting to build everything up that I have lost and let me tell you, I’m sore and exhausted.
“I’m not nearly as strong as I was before but I can feel the strength coming back and starting to see my booty come back! Yay!!
“I get tired a lot easier so I’m not in the gym as long as I would like, but at least I’m still putting in work and pushing myself to new limits.
“My goal is to be the fittest little cancer warrior in the game right now.”
