GM plant hosts law enforcement training excercise

DELTA TOWNSHIP (AP) — A large law enforcement training exercise is taking place at a General Motors plant in Michigan.

The Eaton County sheriff’s office says some roadways may be closed near the Lansing Delta Township Assembly plant near Lansing for Wednesday’s exercise.

The department says in a statement that the training will help prepare police and fire agencies to respond to an “active violence incident.”

About a dozen agencies including Michigan State Police and the Lansing Fire Department are participating. The exercise is closed to the public.
